Fresh out of the oven... via the highway

I still have a bunch of pictures from my trip to the US during Christmas to share, but I also have a bunch from my Beijing stay before that that I haven't blogged yet.

This was something I happened upon one day while riding my bike to the office up in BJ... Regular Etchy blog readers will recall how cold it was in December, but I was willing to take my gloves off and snap a pic while riding just for this...

As I neared this motorbike I noticed he had some trays stacked on the back. As I got closer I noticed they were open on top...

as I got even closer I noticed he was carrying a bunch of baked goods from a bakery to some shop.

Mmmm.. they almost look good enough to eat, until I remembered how grimy I always feel after biking down the street in Beijing... you get covered by dust as well as the coal and diesel particles heavy in the air...

...on second thought maybe I'll pass on the 'open air' baked goods. :-P
