How to fix a stopped up drain HK style pt 1

So a week ago my kitchen drain stopped working. My landlord called a plumber but the draino and plunger were ineffective. It wasnt the trap under my sink for sure. He had to check the pipe further down.

Those of you familiar with HK buildings know they put all the pipes on the outside of the buildings, this means he had to go outside to check where my drain pipe connects to the main one.

Oh by the way, I live 14 floors up (which would be 15 floors by the American counting method). So he had to harness up and get him self out my tiny kitchen window Jackie Chan style.

The safety line was kind of an after thought. He did that after climbing out. Not before!

The verdict was that the pipe has probably rusted shut and must be replaced. Which means coming back with another team and replacing the pipe...outside again. Stay tuned for part 2!

Oh no JJ is a new bride!?!

I hope her appearance on the cover of this wedding magazine is not because she actually got married. :-P

Happy Mid-Autumn Festival

Went to Victoria Park with Bacca, Rene and Ana to check out the lanterns. But we were late getting there and most of the kids with lanterns were  already gone.
