The next day I drove my rental car out to Marin for a beach party. But I stuck in traffic AGAIN. It took quite a while to even get to the toll booth.

While I was waiting I took this picture.


But the real benefit of the tough drive was the great scenery you get on the winding mountain roads. That is Mount Tamalpais in the background.
I stopped a few times to get pictures. This is my Chevy Aveo, it only cost about $26 a day incuding tax!


But there was a big wall of fog that was coming in from the ocean. This happens often, especially in the summer here.


The line between clear and foggy is very distinct.


A few miles before the beach the road goes out to the coastline.


Not bad, right? And yes, I did wear my Star Wars T-shirt


Its a long way down from the edge of the road. Very dangerous!


I made it down to the beach. It was pretty crowded. Stinson beach isn't such a great beach, but its the best this close to San Fran I guess.
